Who we are
Marta Bardón and Marta De la Torre are the soul of CROMA.
A very well matched personal and professional tandem that has been working with color for more than 20 years. Known in the world of decoration as “Las Martas” and for their trajectory in decorative painting as founders of MC Pinturas, high-end decorative painting.
Both come to color from different disciplines – Marta Bardón is a restorer and Marta de La Torre an interior designer – bringing their experience to create colors full of nuances that create truly special spaces.
Their training gave them a unique perspective on tradition and the use of color. And more than 10 years traveling around Spain with their pigments (mixtures that they made in situ with the mixer) painting facades, walls and walls of houses, almost always in the countryside. They painted in an artisanal way and when you visit them nowadays they have aged beautifully without any maintenance.
In 2001 they created MC Pinturas, a concept of high-end paints, in which the color charts are worked in a meticulous way, always inspired by their experiences in nature and the experience of these years in traditional architecture.
Now they are launching CROMA, a natural powder paint based on natural pigments, with the illusion of putting within reach of anyone, a professional finish for our home.

We were passionate about seeing how colors transformed those walls and walls of huge houses, usually in the countryside. I think that in those years, we both developed a great passion for COLOR, which we already had inside us, Marta because of her family’s influence on decoration and her career as an interior designer and me, because of my work as a restorer of works of art.
